Allow Comments To Automatically Post Without Approval

By default, WordPress requires that a commenter must have previously left a comment on your blog in order to post their comment without requiring approval. But if you have a fresh install of WordPress then you aren’t going to have any previous comments which means that each person that leaves a comment will require approval by you.

Fortunately, its quite easy to turn this feature off. All that you need to do is open up the Discussion Settings page inside of the Admin Dashboard and uncheck the “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” checkbox. This will allow even first time commenters to have their comment published immediately without requiring any approval.

Note: While Akismet does a great job at catching spam, assuming you have it activated, turning this option off opens up the gate for spammers to post their links on your site. If you do decide to turn this option off, please make sure to keep an eye on your blog closely and make sure to moderate and keep an eye on comments being posted.
